Gandhi.
I like this sentence because if we do really want the change to happen, which is obviously required for the greater good of the world, we should lead by example and be the first ones to change and then the world will follow.
2. A song...
I don't really have a favourite song but one which has always been close to my heart is "Summertime" by Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald.
''Summertime'' is the name of an aria composed by George Gershwin for the 1935 opera Porgy and Bess. It's a nice opera, it is based on the novel Porgy de Heyward. It's about the African-American lifestyle in Charleston, South Caroline, towards the beginning of the 1930s.
It has been sung multiple times throughout Porgy and Bess as a lullaby.
Apart from its history, it's a piece that has fascinated me since the first day that I listened to it, also I really love Jazz and this song is a popular jazz standard.
There are countless recordings and live performances by various artists, including Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald or Jannis Joplin.
This song means a lot to me, giving me a variety of feelings and emotions. I don't think that it's necessary to give an explanation for all my feelings, I just enjoy the melody.
''Summertime'' by Ella Fitzgerald with Louis Armstrong:
(lyrics of the song)
And the livin is easy
Fish are jumpin
And the cotton is high
Oh your daddy's rich
And your ma is good lookin
So hush little baby
Don't you cry
One of these mornings
You gonna rise up singin
Yes you spread your wings
And you take to the sky
But till that mornin
There's nothin can hold you
Yeah lay down by me
Stand by
Summer time
And the livin is easy
Fish are jumpin
And the cotton is high
Oh your daddy's rich
And your ma is good lookin
So hush little baby
Baby don't you cry
Don't cry
Hitchhiking, looking for new adventures and new sensations with my friends. I really like to see all the faces of the world, meeting new people...
I can see what you never imagined seeing.
I can hear the rivers at full speed down the mountains, and the cars down the streets of a cityst the same speed.
I can smell in a day, more different smells than spending a year in a perfume shop.
I can taste things, that even in dreams I would think that would be edible.
I can feel I'm the queen of the world on top of a mountain and a microscopic organism in a huge city.
Thank you Beby! I love "Summertime", my brother is a jazz musician and the song it's a standard...
